Matthew 6:26

[26] Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Our “Winter Hope” Scripture study is coming to a close in a few days. As I have prayed about whether or not to continue, I have realized what a joy it has been teaching others about Scripture. It has kept me immersed in God’s Word every single day. And if I want to live a life making His name known, I must be disciplined in Scripture reading. Without it, do we really even know Him? Furthermore, the daily discipline of Scripture reading makes Matthew 6:26 real in my life. I spent way too many years as a wife and mother filled with anxiety, frustration and fear. When I keep the discipline of studying Scripture, my prayer life is transformed. My relationships change. The constant worry and fear disappear. It gives me calm. So my friends, look at the birds! Let’s continue growing in God’s knowledge and care.

I’m adding this Scripture study to the website. If you have enjoyed this current one, I encourage you to keep going. This one will be a little different. Go at your own pace. Each scripture will come with a journaling page and Scripture notes I have written. These are not personal stories or testimonies. I have been extremely careful to not make this about me. This is about Scripture! Only Scripture. It’s all we need!

Like the current study, each day will have a song. But this is the really exciting part! I have chosen SCRIPTURE ONLY songs. Whatever Scripture you are studying that day, there will be a song of those exact verses. This makes Scripture memory much easier too. This study and the songs will be in the ESV translation.
